JRO
SELF-ENRICHING OF MUST BY REVERSE OSMOSIS.
The wine market demands increasingly balanced, consistent products, vintage after vintage, thus compelling wine makers to search for increasingly specific means to keep quality levels high. Changes in climate conditions, along with other factors affecting the activities carried out in vineyards certainly play an important role in this delicate balance. The possibility of self-enriching must in order to obtain a balanced composition even during years where this is difficult offers a major technological advantages, as well as the opportunity to produce elegant wines that are perfectly in keeping with their local identity and the aboce mentioned features.
Vason Group researches, in cooperation with JU.CLA.S., have developed JRO, a series of systems for procesing must by means of reverse osmosis membranes. Such systems guarantee high yielda and limited energy consumption. Furthermore, thanks to the experience gained during years of tests it has been possible to check a wide range of membranes in order to respond to the single needs of each product to be processed.
Awareness of the most suitable solutions for the processing of must by reverse osmosis date back to 1994, when JU.CLA.S. obtained ministerial approval for testing this new system to obtain EEC approval.
